What should I do if the PTU-7000 system has dropouts?

If there are dropouts during performance, there are multiple factors that you need to consider.

Antenna placement.
Keep the antennas upward and maintain a line of sight between the mics and the receiver.

Check if the transmitter or the receiver is faulty.
To check this, pair the transmitter with another channel that is working normally. If the transmitter is faulty, the dropouts will still happen with a different channel.
If the dropouts disappear, then the previous receiver channel could be faulty. Perform an auto-scan for the previous channel, and then pair a working transmitter with it. If the receiver channel is faulty, dropouts will happen again.

Check if there is interference.
It would be helpful if a live scan could be performed. External devices such as the RF explorer are required.
Then turn off other wireless devices in the setup and only turn on the PTU-7000. Check if it could function normally. If there is interference from other devices, the system should work normally now.

There are other factors that could affect the performance of a wireless system. Please refer to our more detailed blog post here: https://phenyxpro.com/blogs/knowledge/demystify-wireless-system-signal-dropouts.
